Come to this workshop and explore strategies to accelerate (forward) rather than just revise (backward), build student motivation & agency, encourage perseverance, fill skill gaps within the context of new learning and improve vocabulary.

Are you working with students who are learning English as a second language? Not sure about how to really engage them? This workshop will explore practical ways to support English Language Learners and to understand the importance of oral language as a foundation for fluency in speaking, reading and writing English. We will also focus on what it means to come from a different cultural background and how awareness of this can assist us in our work with these students.
